Simple Potato recipe?

I have some standard potatoes and I only need to make something for myself tonight, any suggestions (my pantry is full of spices and the like)?Simple Potato recipe?
1: put potato in oven


2: allow potato to become hot

Not all of these are easy, but these are some of my favourate





Pommes fondant





6 large Sebago potatoes


400g butter


200mL chicken stock


Thyme


Rosemary


Salt





Cut potatoes into 8cm cylinders


Place in pot with chicken stock %26amp; butter floating on top add herbs %26amp; salt


Make sure potato is covered in butter %26amp; stock (just)


Bring to boil %26amp; reduce until there is nothing left but butter


Ease potatoes off the bottom of the pot








Pommes Maxim





3 large Desiree potatoes


Salt %26amp; pepper


3 tbs clarified butter





Cut potatoes into long cylinders


Use mandoline to slice into 3mm discs


Season with salt %26amp; toss in 1 tbs of clarified butter


Layer on baking trays, 2 discs wide and 6 discs long


Brush with clarified butter %26amp; season


Bake at 160掳C until golden (20 mins)








Pommes anna





3 large Desiree potatoes


3 tbs clarified butter


Salt





Prep potatoes as you would for pommes maxim, but slice to 6mm thick


Heat clarified butter


Toss potatoes in clarified butter %26amp; season


Layer in pommes anna mould %26amp; pour the rest of the butter over the top


Bake potatoes at 160掳C for 10 mins


Deep fry to golden








Pommes souffl茅s





5 large patrone potatoes


4 cups canola or peanut oil


Sea salt





Peel %26amp; cut potatoes into 3mm discs


Heat oil in saucepan to 120掳C


Add the potatoes %26amp; continuously stir the oil, don鈥檛 let them crisp, let them steam so they will puff up


As soon as they show signs of puffing, remove from oil


Heat oil to 180掳C cook potatoes until golden











Pommes mousseline





3 large Sebago potatoes


250g butter, chopped


2 tbs warm milk


2 tbs salt





Cook the potatoes in boiling, salted chicken stock until cooked


Mash with 90g of butter


In saucepan, whisk in 1 tbs of the milk for 3-4 mins over low heat


Add remaining butter, bit at a time, whisking rapidly


If it starts to split, remove from heat %26amp; add 1 tbs of milk, whisk like mad to bring it together


Season

Ingredients


55g/2oz unsalted butter


1 Desir茅e potato, peeled and grated


salt


freshly ground black pepper


55g/2oz parmesan, finely grated





1. Gently melt the butter in a small, non-stick frying pan.


2. Scatter the grated potato in the pan, spreading it out evenly, and season well.


3. Gently fry for 3-4 minutes each side until crisp, golden and cooked through.


4. Sprinkle with the parmesan cheese, remove from the heat and serve.
Cut them into wedges (peeled or unpeeled). Place 1/2 cup of flour in a plastic bag, along with a shake of salt, pepper, and whatever spices you like (paprika is good, and lemon pepper is better). Put the wedged in the bag, shake to coat with the seasoning, and then place in a single layer on an oven tray. Drizzle with olive oil if you have it, or cooking oil it you don't, and roast at 180 degrees celcius until done (between 30 mins and an hour depending on the size of wedges).
I really wish I knew what your standard potatoes are because my standard potatoes come in about 5 different types............but I love a good hearty Roasted Potato myself. Toss them around in some Olive oil, butter, your favorite seasonings and put them in a hot oven (425) and let them roast away! The crisper, the better for me! I like garlic, salt, pepper, onion powder, rosemary, shredded shallots, crushed red pepper.............so enjoy this mix and happy cooking to you with your potatoes!

Try Rosemary potatoes. It easy and fast.


Cut the Potatoes into wedges, put it in a pan. add olive oil, sea salt, and rosemary and toss. Stick it into the oven until golden brown!





Garlic mashed potatoes.





Steam the potatoes. When ready put them in a bowl, add cream and butter. mush and whisk when soft add garlic, sea salt, and pepper!

here is somthing i make on the grill but will work for the oven.take 2 or 3 potatoes and slice into about 4 slices,put in foil packet,add butter ,salt,pepper,and slice a medium onion over this,bake at 350 degrees for about 30 mins or until potatoes are tender

Slice/dice and fry with some onions %26amp; sweet peppers - could add some sliced hot dogs or smoked sausage - or Spam - and scramble with some eggs - serve with some salsa %26amp; sour cream %26amp; shredded cheese.
You should try to slice potatoes into fries and then bake them with herbs and spices.
